Important Christmas Concert Information

The December schedule For Community Chorus is as follows: 

Concert Dress for all performances is ladies- white Blouse, dark skirt or slacks wear a bright Christmas pin on left side Men- white shirt- dark trousers- wear a four-in-hand christmas tie if you have one (no bow ties)

Rehearsals at the community center for November and December--- 2:30 P.M.: November 6, 13, Dec 4 (no rehearsal Nov 20 or Thanksgiving)

Citrus Springs Community Chorus Kicks Off Second Season

The Citrus Springs Chorus kicked off its second season with a terrific turnout for its first rehearsal on Thursday September 18, 2003 welcoming eight new members!!. Director Nancy Gordon introduced the new accompanist, Kay Kelble and outlined plans for the season which include at least two "On the road" performances at area health facilities and an evening performance at the December 17 Citrus Springs Civic association meeting. The chorus will welcome new members through mid-October. You do not need to live in Citrus Springs nor do you need to be able to read music to join . Chorus meets Thursdays from 2:30-4:00 at the new community center on Citrus Springs Blvd. Come Join us!!

Citrus Springs Community Chorus Sets concert date

The Citrus Springs Chorus, directed by Nancy Gordon and accompanied by Kay Kelble will perform for the Citrus Spring Civic association on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 . They will also schedule performances in area life care and Nursing facilities. Please come to our first rehearsal Thursday September 18 at 2:30 at the new community center on Citrus Springs Blvd. . All are welcome. You do not need to be able to read music and you do not need to be a Citrus Springs resident. Come Join us!.

Citrus Springs Community Chorus Announces New Rehearsal Time

The Citrus Springs Chorus, once again under the direction of Nancy Gordon will have a new rehearsal day this fall. Beginning on Thursday September 18 we will meet at 2:30 at the new community center on Citrus Springs Blvd. for our weekly rehearsal. All are welcome. You do not need to be able to read music and you do not need to be a Citrus Springs resident. All are welcome. Come and meet our new accompanist!

Citrus Springs Community Chorus welcomes New Accompanist

The Citrus Springs Chorus welcomes Kay Kelble , our new accompanist. Kay is know throughout the community, serving as organist for both St, Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church as well as the North Oak Baptist Church. Plan to come and meet Kay when rehearsals resume on Thursday September 18 at 2:30 at the new community center on Citrus Springs Blvd. . All are welcome. You do not need to be able to read music and you do not need to be a Citrus Springs resident. Come Join us!!

Citrus Springs Community Chorus holds Inaugural Concert

The Citrus Springs Community chorus's inaugural concert "A Broadway Spectacular" was held on Monday April 7th, 2003  on stage in the new Community Center. The concert included a large tribute to Rodgers and Hammerstein, three different looks at "The Women of Broadway" several solos and several surprises. The concert was free to the public. The Chorus was  joined by the fourth grade chorus of Citrus Springs Elementary School under the direction of Sally Throckmorton for a group of patriotic selections. They sang a combined patriotic finale. 

Many Thanks to all who attended our April 7 "Broadway Spectacular" There were over 150 in attendance as best we can estimate. It was wonderful to work with both the adults and the fourth graders of our community to present this special evening.

Prior to the April 7th, concert several performances were staged in area life care and nursing care facilities.

Citrus Springs Community Chorus is Back!

The newly-reformed Citrus Springs Community Chorus has begun rehearsals for a Christmas concert. Nancy Gordon, the new director brings over thirty years choral directing experience to the job. She is willing to "go the extra mile" with inexperienced singers and plans to make practice tapes to help singers learn their parts.  Welcome back!

There is still time to get in on the fun - just come to rehearsals  and bring your voice and enthusiasm.
